We buy bikes in a range of different ways. Directly from riders to ex demo and returns from major brands. Whatever the condition it arrives in, our overhaul process ensures each bike is refurbished to the same standard.
Whether it be just a simple scratch to the frame, or a faulty battery or chain, by the time we are finished with the bike, itt'l ride like it did when it was new.
1. in depth assessment
Our mechanics carry out an in depth assessment over the bikes, checking over 97 individual points. Each component is checked to ensure it has adequate life left for a new rider. We replace any component that does not meet our rigorous checks.
2. new parts ordered
Any parts identified during our checks are ordered in from our suppliers. We only use genuine parts from known brands, ensuring quality is never compromised on.
3. strip down, degrease and clean
The bike is then fully stripped down, degreased and cleaned. This ensures every inch of the bike can be fully examined and there are no hidden surprises and gets the bike looking like new.
4. rebuild with new parts
This is where the magic really starts to happen. Each component is put back onto the bike, with the correct greases and assembly compounds and tightened to the correct torque spec by one of our expert mechanics. Any new components are also put on at this point.
5. showroom ready
This is where the polishing tools come out and specialist sprays that really bring the frame back to a condition that's as close to new as we can get it.
6. detailed photographs
If there are any cosmetic damages to the bike, we make sure to take detailed photos of them so you know exactly what you're getting.
7. Shipped to you ready to ride
Our bikes are shipped fully built and ready to ride. just turn the handlebars, put the pedals on and your good to go. With warranties, free trials and 30 day returns and insurance included.
